In the foreground, parents and their excited kids in a tutu and summer-wear are sitting in the grass in the audience of a Farm to Ballet Performance as dancers in green leotards and skirts holding huge fake lettuce leaves overhead make a dancing salad.
Two brown Jersey cows can be seen through a wide wooden fence on the farm. One cow is looking down and the other is looking through the fence, sticking its nose through and seems to be looking at the camera.
A garden with a covered walkway and a picnic table sits in a lush green field with a brick farm building and lots of green trees in the background. It is a beautiful day with blue sky and fluffy white clouds.
"Billings Farm & Museum is a scenic stroll from the village center of charming Woodstock, Vermont. This historic Jersey dairy farm and museum, which is open to the public, showcases Vermont’s rural culture, past and present through dynamic programming and events. View farm life exhibits and the innovative 1890 Farm Manager’s House. Meet cows, draft horses, sheep, goats, and chickens. Enjoy the beautiful Farmstead Gardens and Sunflower House in summertime. Purchase delicious ice cream and snacks at the Farmhouse Scoop Shop. Explore the Museum Gift Shop for local treasures and delicious Billings Farm Cheese. Open April-February. With funds from this 2023 Farm to Ballet performance, Billings Farm & Museum will improve their sustainability & regenerative practices. This includes replanting pasture and cropland with a no till drill seeder and making substantial improvements to be able to carry out rotational grazing. The farm will invest in fencing, create lanes for cows to reduce their impact on the land, establish water access through buried lines, and install solar powered water heaters to extend the grazing season. These improvements will benefit the herd of approximately 50 milking Jerseys and the farmland for years to come.
This season we are offering multiple ticket price options in line with our values of affordability and art for all. You choose which ticket price works best for you.
Adults: $35/$20
Youth (0-16): $10/$0
