Ballet Vermont Update: Fall 2023
Important Update: Ballet Vermont Studio located in Waterbury, VT has closed.
Running an adult focused dance studio with drop in classes is tricky- adults need freedom to come and go from class when it works for their schedule but it sure makes an unpredictable financial situation. We have always been fortunate to have revenue from performances to create more predictability. That being said, the rain this July had a devastating impact on our performance season and the financial impact has led us to a harsh reality that Ballet Vermont needed to close.
We have loved every second of building and being in this community with you. We know so many of you have found friends, healing and joy in these walls. We thank you deeply for being a part of this community and for helping us make this dream come true.
As far as our performance company and productions, such as Farm to Ballet Project, those will also be stopping at this time. There are many dedicated dancers looking at ways to bring these components back in the future. We thank the community for their support of our dancers, our productions and Farm to Ballet through the years.
Any questions or needs, please feel free to get in touch with Katie Decker: katie@balletvermont.org
