Ballet Vermont Opportunities for Youth
Though our studio is focused on adults, we look at ways to incorporate youth into our experiences. Here are ways your youth can connect with Ballet Vermont.
*SUMMER PERFORMANCE CAMP*
One of the best parts of performing in Farm to Ballet is watching the kids in the audience. We see smiling faces, looks of awe, and wiggling bodies, joyfully mimicking what they see. After performances, our dancers move into the audience to meet our smallest audience members and give them a chance to touch a tutu or hold the lettuce. Our camps take all of this a step further, giving campers a chance to learn from our dancers and explore the joy of dance! Campers get to perform as part of the Farm to Ballet pre-show.

* FARM TO BALLET YOUTH AUDITION*
The Farm to Ballet Project is a full length story ballet which is about 1 hr 30 min in duration. The choreography is a reinterpretation of many iconic ballet pieces from Giselle, Swan Lake, Bayadere and more- in addition to original choreography by Chatch Pregger. The project performs throughout July at different outdoor venues. The ballet is incredibly joyful. Audience members picnic and lounge on the lawn while enjoying the ballet. This production has a place for adult dancers of all levels. Each year we also audition for 1-2 youth to join the production.
Audition for the 2023 season has taken place already. |
